Snoring is a common and often bothersome condition. Beyond being a “harmless noise disturbance”, it can also be a sign of a sleep or breathing disorder such as sleep apnea. An ENT specialist and, if necessary, a sleep laboratory can help clarify the cause. For this reason, we work closely with sleep specialists.
Treatment options for snoring or sleep apnea include CPAP therapy (positive airway pressure masks), surgical interventions, or dental sleep appliances (snoring guards). The right form of therapy is determined according to medical indication. When suitable, dental snoring appliances are a discreet and comfortable alternative to CPAP masks.
Our practice follows the guidelines of the German Society for Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine (DGZMK) and the German Society for Dental Sleep Medicine (DGZS). Under certain conditions, this proven method can now even be covered by statutory health insurance.
