Fillings, In- and Onlays

Modern dentistry offers the perfect material for every type of tooth defect, whether it’s caused by decay, a broken tooth, or another issue. Which material is best suited cannot be answered in general terms. Depending on the size and location of the defect, various materials may be used. Together, after a detailed consultation, we will decide which material is most suitable for your case.

Inlays and Onlays

These restorations are particularly durable and of high quality. The affected tooth is first cleaned of decay and then precisely prepared for an impression. Our dental laboratory – we work exclusively with German master laboratories – fabricates your custom restoration. You receive a long-lasting and aesthetic result.

Inlays and Onlays (made of ceramic or gold) are especially suitable for larger defects and for situations that require special attention paid to your biting and chewing behaviour. With good care, they can last for many years.

Composite Fillings

Composite fillings are tooth-colored and can be placed in a single appointment. They allow for a minimally invasive, durable restoration. When taken care of and processed carefully, these fillings offer an excellent solution for smaller defects.

However, for larger defects, they are not a permanent solution.

Cement Fillings

Within the framework of statutory health insurance, patients are entitled to treatment with self-curing materials such as cements.

Amalgam

The EU Commission has banned dental amalgam as of January 1, 2025.

No single material is best for everyone, the right choice depends on your individual case. We’ll be happy to advise you and help find the perfect solution for your needs after a thorough examination.
